Since I began this blog, I've talked about letting the quiet riot inside of us speak for once. Well, here I am taking my first step. Here's a poem that I wrote weeks back. Never thought it was good enough but right now I feel all too brave. So I'm gonna post it while I'm feeling it! :D
It's untitled since I don't know how or what to title it!
Something maimed, something missing
She never quite realised what
Some tears through that unfelt happiness
She could only remember the injustice
Pure, pristine, altruistic
That's how she was, that's who she wanted to hold on to
The pain lingered, hurt her, pricked her
But she wanted to rise again
Something wrong, something hurtful
She never quite got over it
Some reminiscence through those heart-to-heart talks
And she could only cry again
Disbelief, negativity, mistrust
She still couldn't embrace this
She walked on with a positive note in her mind like the last slim thread
Scared yet knowingly
Cuz she had loved once and she will love again!
Do tell how you liked it! :)
*Fingers crossed*

A beautiful, well thought, from-the-heart, amazing poem! Hope you keep writing more of them.

Thanks a lot Vinayak. This means a lot! :)
DeleteAnd i shall keep trying to write! :)
beautiful poem, though i would love to know what inspired this.
ReplyDeleteheartfelt, was it?
Heartfelt indeed, Tanya.
DeletePart of the inspiration remains a memory nicely sealed and hidden and hopefully never opened again but the other part of the inspiration was how I thought the memory was to be best interpreted.
*sigh* Oh how the most bitter and undesirable things in life leave you with thoughts that could, in future, inspire! It's baffling!
Anything that hurts actually inspires more words than anything that makes you happy, it s a part of life i guess, but this is a lovely poem! :*
DeleteThanks again!
DeleteBut isn't it sad though? Happy times should inspire more and better! And they do!! Maybe they're just too precious to come out just right and express how happy it really was!
Anyways, i'll try and write a happy one next! :)
